One thing I learned from my days in mobile -> if product is flying off the shelves, there is little need to incentivize. Pulling forward sales suggests either new product about to be launched or quarterly revenue numbers are low.
In other news, pinged another goggle company overseas called RideOn. Looks like they are offering true augmented reality and are expected to release an API in the near future.
